I remember as a young child growing up my mother use to give me a set of chores to do Saturday morning before I could go out and play. One of those chores consisted of watering the plants in her garden every weekend. At the time I could not understand why she would have all of these plants to take care of. All I knew that taking care of all the different varieties of plants was just keeping me from going out and playing games with my friends.

Now years later I enjoy planting flowers and vegetables and watching them grow into plants of beauty. By the way I even have a blog that I write about landscaping and gardening. After all the years that have passed I look back and I am glad that my mother took all that time to share her knowledge and appreciating of growing plants and vegetables.
