Summer is slowly coming to an end but if you still have some vacation time left or you still are looking for a vacation spot to take the family on. This just might be what you looking for. As gardening and landscaping is our thing weve found the perfect spot located in Pennsylvania called Longwood Gardens. Purchased by an industrialist Pierre S. du Pont in 1906, Longwood offers 1,050 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows; 20 outdoor gardens; 20 indoor gardens within 4 acres of heated greenhouses; 11,000 different types of plants and spectacular fountains. There is still time to plan your visit as they are having a fireworks and fountain Centennial Salute celebrating 100 years of Longwood Gardens starting September 3rd to the 9th. Also celebrate Asian Culture by attending the Chrysanthemum Festival, October 28th till November 19th were all types of artists will perform from China, Japan, korea and Vietnam. So if you still have time to spare plan a trip to Longwood Gardens for a spectacular horticultural event.

Having moved from the eastcoast to Colorado the past six months has been one of the dreams of my life. Unfortunately having your personal items stored away in one of those you store it facilities you wonder how safe your personal items really are. Having to transport not only personal belongings but also garden tools and accessories some things are bound to get lost or misplaced.

Well after months of searching for my hedger that I know I placed in storage but some how disappeared, Hmmmm I finally replaced my hedger with a brand new electric hedger from one of the home improvement stores. Watching my hedges growing to hights that I would rather not say has been urking me for weeks. But now that I am back in action it is time to trim the monsters down to a respectable size….
